Chobham Festival will return in 2019 with music and more

Chobham Festival returns on 28th September 2019 and we will be announcing full details of the programme, including the three-yearly flower festival, in the spring. For early news about what is planned, sign up for our newsletter.

Chobham Festival

The Surrey village church of St Lawrence is at the heart of Chobham Festival, providing a beautiful setting for the festival’s two centrepiece classical concerts to bring outstanding music and musicians to Chobham.

Making their festival debut, at our Music by Candlelight Concert in 2018 were three bright new stars of the musical scene who together form the Carneval String Trio.

Our Festival Finale Concert was Joyfully Choral an evening of well-loved works by Handel, Bach and Purcell with a stellar line up of singers in the Festival Consort conducted by Surrey-based English tenor Roy Rashbrook.

Our ever popular Vintage Jazz evening was a sell-out; the ChobLit book event put the spotlight on children’s author Arthur Ransome; a party night had the fabulous Planet Abba on stage; a new event was a delightful family theatre production. And on the fringe, Italian restaurant Perla Antica welcomed Teddington Ukulele Players.

Harvest, Hymns, a Schools Prom and Art also featured.
