About the Phil Hopkins Quartet

Phil Hopkins (musical director, chromatic harmonica and percussion). Phil has
performed in more than 120 London theatre productions and was the musical
director for 21 productions at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. He has played in
Carnegie Hall and the London Palladium and has played harmonica with the
London Sinfonietta and BBC Concert Orchestra.

Rick Finlay (drums). Rick is a highly experienced and accomplished West End
drummer most well-known for playing for the musical Blood Brothers for 22
years. In his long and varied live and recording career Rick has also
accompanied stars such as Des O’Connor, Mel C, Marti Pellow, Cliff Richard,
David Cassidy and David Soul, appeared on many TV shows (Parkinson, Ant
and Dec’s Saturday Takeaway) and has drummed for many West End shows
including Chess, Little Shop of Horrors and Time.

Liam Dunachie (piano). Liam is much in demand as a London pianist. He has
played for BBC 2’s The Choir with Gareth Malone and has performed in the
Royal Albert Hall and London Palladium. He worked a musical director for the
UK tour of the musical Hairspray.

Paul Morgan (double bass). Paul is one of the finest jazz bass players ever
produced by the UK and has toured internationally with artists of the stature of
Peggy Lee. He has been the principal bassist of the BBC Radio Orchestra and
has had a stellar career as a recording and live musician.
