Our guest author Rebecca Stonehill now lives in Nairobi, Kenya, but was originally a Chobham girl, spending her early childhood in the village.
It was at Flexlands School that her passion for writing was first nurtured. After studying anthropology, Rebecca travelled widely and it was in Granada, the Spanish city with its lingering murmurs of the country’s bitter Civil War, that inspired her first novel, The Poet’s Wife. Her second novel, The Girl and the Sunbird, about Kenya, is being published this year, and she is working on her third.
