Privacy Policy

Chobham Festival aims to comply with the letter and spirit of the current data protection legislation.

We will only collect information that is necessary for the administration and marketing of Chobham Festival and will be transparent about how we use it.

We are committed to keeping your information securely and will endeavour to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date and that we do not store it for longer than is reasonable for the purposes of running Chobham Festival.

Privacy Notices

The names, residential addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses* of the Patrons and Friends of Chobham Festival are needed for the Legitimate Interests of administration of festival events.

*This is known as personal information or personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.

The Data Controller is the current Chairman of Chobham Festival.

The Legitimate Interests of the Controller are: to enable communication with Festival Patrons in relation to festival events including sending tickets and notification of  changes of dates of attendance; reminders to Festival Friends of annual subscriptions.

Personal Data will be made available to other members of the Festival organising committee for the purposes of administration but will not be shared outside Chobham Festival.

We also ask Patrons and Friends to give additional explicit Consent to allow us to use their contact details for: marketing by post and/or email of future festival events, including sending the annual festival brochure; for sending information about other community and charity music-arts events in Chobham. That information will be sent by Chobham Festival on behalf of other community organisations or charities. We will not share your details with them.

We will not use your contact details for other purposes than those stated above.

Patrons’ and Friends’ data will be removed from our database after five years, if they have not attended events, purchased tickets or paid subscriptions during that time, or requested that we continue to send then marketing communications. Patrons and Friends have the right to check the information we hold on them and to ask for it to be removed at any time.

Paper records including minutes of meetings which may include reference to individuals (eg. apologies for absence) will be stored for archival record purposes.
